Fresh Crop of Cheyenne Pecans
Pecans can be traced to the 1500's when they were used as a food source for Native Americans in North America. "Pecan" is an Indian word meaning a nut so hard it has to be cracked with a stone.
Pecans are a satisfying healthy snack; they stay with you longer than carbohydrate foods. Pecans have natural Vitamin E (antioxidant) that helps reduce the risk of developing heart disease. There are over 19 vitamins and minerals in a pecan.

The Rhew Farm was started in 1973 by Frank Rhew and his father Frank Rhew Sr., originally as a cattle and hay operation. For diversification Frank and his wife Ann began adding peach and pecan trees in the early 1980's. There are approximately 10,000 trees in the orchards at present. Their son, Rudd, his wife, Judy, and children, James and Allison are active in the operation.
We welcome visitors to Rhew Orchard House during pecan season. You can leave with pecans, homemade pies and cobblers, pecan candies, homemade jams or even a cup of delicious homemade ice cream.
Order pies early for the holidays!
