Rhew Orchards originated over 35 years ago in the red Marcelina Hills 5 miles east of Floresville, Texas. We grow high quality, early freestone (early June) peaches. Red,sandy soil and high elevations provide excellent growing conditions for our early fruit.
Grown in our orchards and straight to you.

Last Fall, Rhew Orchards added over 100 lavender plants and they are now in full bloom.

The Rhew Farm was started in 1973 by Frank Rhew and his father Frank Rhew Sr., originally as a cattle and hay operation. For diversification Frank and his wife Ann began adding peach and pecan trees in the early 1980's. There are approximately 10,000 trees in the orchards at present. Their son, Rudd, his wife, Judy, and children, James and Allison are active in the operation.
In the beginning we experimented with over 100 varieties of peaches from all parts of the world. But, thanks to the efforts of Dr. Dave Byrne's peach breeding program at Texas A&M University, we now have suitable varieties for our southern location, that ripen from mid-April through July. We like to say, "We grow peaches bred and raised in Texas for Texans".
Orchard sales start in mid-April. Ann and Judy know peaches! Whether it is a box of firmer fruit to take to friends or a box of 'canners' to put up, we have the peach you want. When you buy Rhew peaches they come straight from the orchard to you.
We welcome visitors to Rhew Orchard House during peach season. You can leave with peaches, a cobbler, or even a cup of our delicious homemade peach ice cream.
